Soup is also surprisingly inexpensive and a great dish to sneak some nutrition-packed ingredients into our children. One of my favorite techniques is to puré raw veggies and add them to your favorite soup recipe for an extra nourishing punch.
Fresh herbs are really wonderful in soups or as a raw topping to a finished soup. Now that fresh organic herbs are much more readily available in grocery stores, we may enjoy these year-round.
