Best Bean Dip

Black Bean DipMany of these ingredients are great for fighting inflammation and pack a great punch when used raw.

The best part of this recipe is that it only takes a few short minutes to prepare. Roughly chop each ingredient into large pieces and let the blender do the rest!

Best Bean Dip Recipe
3 cloves garlic
1 small red onion
½ green pepper
½ red pepper
2 ripe tomatoes
2 tins or equivalent of cooked black beans
Juice of one fresh lime
Good handful of fresh cilantro/ coriander

Throw all of these ingredients into your blender or bullet (my personal choice). If you need to do it in stages, in order to fit all into your machine, be sure to use half beans and half other ingredients that will lend some liquid so it may blend properly.

Yogurt may be added (a few dessert spoonfuls) for a creamy flavor or may be left out for a vegan dish. Hot peppers are an optional ingredient, as well, if you like a little heat. My kids gobble up the version above.

Serve with nachos and fresh vegetables, add to a salad for a flavorful protein or heat and use as a sauce for an Asian-style dish. Double the recipe and it makes a great dish to bring to parties.
